Last week we talked about the Third Eye Chakra. We discussed what it is, where it is and what it does. I told you how to tell if it’s out of balance. I also explained what to do to make it healthy and get it working properly. This week we’re exploring.
The seventh chakra is known as The Crown Chakra or Sahashrara. It’s located at the top of the head. Its color is violet and its element is thought.
Here you’ll find the power to believe in beings greater than yourself. If you’re looking to connect with a god or goddess this is the power center you want open and working properly.
It opens you up to knowledge and often leads to epiphanies of one sort or another.
The Crown Chakra provides a path to divinity. It opens you up to charitable endeavors. You might find yourself with a desire to make a connection with God or to the spirits.
Divinity is our watchword and song here. Have you ever met a person who was so heavenly minded they were of little earthly good? This is an example of Sahashrara open to the extreme.
Your belief systems are created due to the crown chakra. All the information you’ve received about your higher power is lodged here.
It’s also the chief center for revelation. New insights and epiphanies are the results of the crown chakra. All this enables your divine consciousness.
The Sahashrara is a power center just like all the others. As with the six previous chakras, it vibrates on its own frequency. Some activities that strengthen it are:
- Head Rolls
- Floral water meditation
- giving to others
The crown chakra provides a oneness with God and omnipotent power which flows through you at all times.
The power of the Sahashrara is literally our connection to God. It allows us to be aware of him and all things spiritual. With a strong, open and healthy crown chakra you can connect to the realm of the spirit.
If your crown chakra is closed you’ll experience symptoms. These are meant to warn you that something’s amiss and give you a clue what to focus on.
You feel no connection or guidance from a higher power.
You feel unworthy of spiritual help and are angry that your higher power has abandoned you.
You suffer from migraines and tension headaches.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, if your Sahashrara is open and flowing freely there will also be signs that let you know all is well.
You feel connected to your higher power
You know that you are being watched over and cared for.
You know you deserve immense blessings.
You feel immense gratitude for the opportunity to experience this thing called life.
There’s a universal love and appreciation you feel towards yourself and others
If you would like a stronger connection to a god or goddess, or simply to become a more spiritual person, that’s a sign that your crown chakra is waking. As I’ve said before just the act of thinking about it will begin to make it stronger.
Following the activities we have discussed in this blog will further help you to reach your goal of a healthy, completely open and flowing Sahashrara.
