Last week we talked about the Throat Chakra. We discussed what it is, where it is and what it does. I told you how to tell if it is out of balance or closed. I also explained what to do to make it healthy and get it working properly. This week we’re exploring:
Our next center is the intuitive Chakra. It’s also known as the third eye and is located between the eyebrows. Its color is Indigo and its element is light.
This chakra is about intuition and psychic power. It allows you to see, hear and know things at a deeper level.
Intuition and discernment are governed by the third eye, also known as Ajna. Some call it hocus pocus. But, is it really so far-fetched that you could be sensitive enough to feel another person’s intention?
Visualization and psychic talents also come from the third eye. Do you need to picture things in your mind? Then Ajna is your best friend.
Self-reflection and trust in your own abilities also fall under the rule of the third eye.
As with the previously discussed chakras, the Ajna vibrates on a certain energy frequency. The activities which radiate and give off the same type of energy are:
Dream journaling & Eye rollingGuided Imagery
Eye Movement Meditation
Watching the sunrise
Drawing or painting
What you can visualize you can draw to you
Ajna is about intuition. It produces your psychic awareness. Here, you’ll find the power to discern truth from a lie. You’ll also find the power to create. It’s a tool you can use to change your life, or you might simply want to make art.
Signs of a Closed Third Eye Chakra
Just as with the other chakras, if the third eye is plugged or blocked it will produce symptoms. These will manifest in your daily life.
You might feel disconnected from your intuition or like you don’t have any at all.
You could feel lost when it comes to your spiritual purpose and path in life.
You get headaches and often feel a tension in your brow area.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, a healthy Ajna will produce obvious signs that it’s healthy.
Your intuition is your constant guide.
You trust your inner voice.
You have a strong sense of your own inner truth.
You listen to and follow it as it guides you on your life path.
You act in confidence based on your intuition.
Have you ever been about to do something and all of the sudden you got a really bad feeling about it? Have you ever looked at a person and just known they were either trustworthy or not. It’s called intuition and the more free-flowing your Ajna, the more of it you will have.
Many books have been written and even a few religious orders have been formed, all for the purpose of strengthening it. but It’s really not all that complicated. I’ve given you eight practices here that can help, but always remember.
The simple act of concentrating on your third eye helps draw energy to it. Spending just a little time meditating on it will do a lot of good.
Next Week On The Magic Owl
Next week we will visit the final Chakra. It’s known as The Crown Chakra or Sahashrara. Here we find our connection with divinity. I’m really excited about it because here we find our connection to spirit. I hope you’re there.
Please feel free to leave a comment and tell me about your experience with the third eye chakra. Have you found ways to strengthen it that I didn’t mention? I would love to hear about them.
