Last week we talked about the Heart Chakra. We discussed what it is, where it is and what it does. I told you how to tell if it is out of balance or closed. I also told you what to do to make it healthy and work properly. This week we’re exploring
The throat chakra is also known as Visudda. It’s located in the hollow of the throat. Its color is blue and its element is sound.
Here we find our physical voice and our sense of self-expression. This center gives birth to our creative processes.
We all know that person that always has something to say. Some express themselves with the written word, music, art and more.
Speaking the truth
Finding your true voice
Expressing your truth
Who you are deep down inside and what you think in your heart are the concerns of the Visudda. When your throat chakra is open and healthy you’ll have words to say, and won’t mind saying them.
As always the Visudda is an energy which vibrates on its own frequency. Some activities that strengthen it are:
Saying “Ohm,” seven times
Write letters to people
Read out loud,
Let others read to you
Have an inner-child dialogue
Press your palm to your ears
The power that resides in the Visudda is freedom of speech. It’s the ability to say what’s on your mind without fear of what others may think. With a strong, open and healthy throat chakra you can find your voice, speak your truth and set the world on fire with your passion.
If your throat chakra is blocked or closed there are certain signs:
- You are afraid to speak up and say what you want or feel.
- You go along with others so you don’t upset anyone.
- You get sore throats often and feel like your throat is blocked
Once you get that chakra open and flowing properly you will find:
You are comfortable speaking your truth.
You experience others listening to you.
You feel that you are heard and honored for your truth.
In general, expressing yourself will become much easier.
You will begin to realize you are the perfect person you already are.
Careless about what others think and more about what you think.
Practicing the activities listed above can help you find yourself and speak your truth. Write down what you really think in a journal or diary.
When in group sessions make sure to speak your mind (as non-confrontationally as is possible) This may be really difficult in the beginning, but keep it up.
Your throat chakra will blossom, and speaking your truth will become second nature to you.
Next Week On The Magic Owl
I’m really excited about the next Chakra. It’s called the intuitive chakra or the third eye. you don’t want to miss this. For now, may the gods and goddesses bless you. May you find your truth and the ability to express it. As always blessed be.
Please feel free to leave a comment and tell me about your experience with the throat chakra. Have you found ways to strengthen it that I didn’t mention? I would love to hear about them.
